On this video I detail how to get that popular gliding 808 effect in Maschine. This effect really creates movement and animation to the beat. Without it, it can possibly make a beat sound stale. With it, it tends to bring the beat to life.

This gliding 808 effect definitely works well over Trap type beats, but it can still work with other type of beats as well. I find myself using it all the time!
