Thoughts on Maschine Jam and MIDI Controllers

In this video I’m discussing some thoughts on the Native Instruments Maschine Jam hardware controller and the importance of input paradigms in MIDI controllers.

MIDI controller choices are a reflection of who we are and how we would like to communicate as musicians. Each input paradigm has it’s own creative possibilities that can be explored by a musician. The Maschine Jam adds another creative option to the music production world in hardware format with its combination of familiar grid based input and experimental touch strip based note input.

I’m looking forward to seeing how creatives adapt to this technology and use it to express themselves.
